The Harvard University Archives is the oldest and one of the largest institutional academic archives in the nation.

The Harvard University Archives collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to a comprehensive record of more than 375 years of life at Harvard. From 17th and 18th century diaries and scientific observations to 21st century web sites, the Harvard University Archives’ collections comprise over 51,000 feet and 9 terabytes of University records and related historical materials.

This activity is tied integrally to records management services for Harvard University staff, administrators and faculty. Records management staff provide guidance and resources for all stages in the records and information lifecycle, from creating records through destruction of non-permanent records or transfer of permanent records to the Harvard University Archives.

Description: The Harvard College Undergraduate Research Association, founded in 2007, seeks to build an interdisciplinary research community among undergraduate students and promote undergraduate research. Brevia magazine is a forum for science, culture and other big ideas that aims to bring all disciplines of research out of the ivory tower and into the discourse of the interested public. The Brevia website, in addition to containing current and past issues, provide information on their writing competition for high school students, becoming a Brevia writer, and the magazine's current leadership and writers. Title: Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery (2020-2021)

Description: Harvard University is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, established in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Harvard has 12 degree-granting Schools in addition to the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. The Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery presidential initiative, established in November 2019 and building on several years of work, is an effort to understand and address the enduring legacy of slavery with the University community. The Harvard and the Legacy of Slavery website provides information on research, events, grants, news, and leadership. Between July 2021 and April 2022, the contents of this website were on the main Radcliffe website. Title: Harvard College Office of Undergraduate Education : Remote Teaching

Description: The Office of Undergraduate Education is responsible for the administration of the undergraduate curriculum at Harvard College. Specifically, OUE works with academic departments and individual faculty on curricular planning, pedagogy, course development, and the assignment of Teaching Fellows. The Records Advice for Retiring Staff website was created in response to Harvard's 2020 Voluntary Early Retirement Incentive Program (VERIP). To help the large number of staff involved in the program, the University Archives provided tailored advice to help retirees address their University records.
