The Harvard University Archives is the oldest and one of the largest institutional academic archives in the nation.

The Harvard University Archives collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to a comprehensive record of more than 375 years of life at Harvard. From 17th and 18th century diaries and scientific observations to 21st century web sites, the Harvard University Archives’ collections comprise over 51,000 feet and 9 terabytes of University records and related historical materials.

This activity is tied integrally to records management services for Harvard University staff, administrators and faculty. Records management staff provide guidance and resources for all stages in the records and information lifecycle, from creating records through destruction of non-permanent records or transfer of permanent records to the Harvard University Archives.

Title: Helping Thailand in the COVID-19 Crisis

The Thai Studies Program was created with seed funding given to the Asia Center from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to support language instructors and courses at several levels of proficiency. Title: Dear Harvard Project

Description: The Dear Harvard Project, a student project done in partnership with Harvard University Common Spaces, sought to connect the Harvard community while the university was dispersed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were invited to send virtual postcards to the community, which were then posted on the site with the intention of eventually printing them for physical display after the pandemic. Description: The Office for the Arts at Harvard & Radcliffe is a central resource for arts information, opportunities, programs, and support at Harvard University. The Common Spaces program exists to create and manage informal gathering spaces for and encourage spontaneous interactions among students, faculty, staff, community members, and visitors. Together, they created Windows of Harvard to provide an opportunity to connect the Harvard community by "virtually visiting" the campus through the online presentation of installations in campus windows. As those working on campus and remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic feel the absence of students, friends, and colleagues, this display intends to close the distance by providing the unique reciprocal experience that is the creation and appreciation of art. Description: CovEducation, started by Harvard College student Evelyn Wong, aims to promote greater access to web-based curricula and academic support for K-12 students, facilitating the transition to virtual learning for students with limited access to resources. The initiative was established in response to COVID-19-related school closures and the disruption they caused. The initiative is managed by a group of Harvard and MIT students, with the participation of students from a number of other universities. Description: Harvard University is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, established in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Harvard has 12 degree-granting Schools in addition to the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. The University has grown from nine students with a single master to an enrollment of more than 20,000 degree candidates including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. There are more than 360,000 living alumni in the U.S. and over 190 other countries. The COVID-19 Information section of Harvard's primary website, also called Keep Harvard Healthy, provided guidance for students, faculty, staff, and visitors as well as data about how COVID-19 has affected the university. Title: Super Mario Pfoho Instagram feed

Description: Mario Leon is the Building Manager at Harvard's Pforzheimer House. Leon's close relationship to the Pfoho students led to him being nicknamed Super Mario. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Leon devised a challenge for himself to connect students to the House and Harvard, especially first-years and sophomores who could not be on campus. Leon created the @supermario_pfoho Instagram account to present 50 Days of Pfoho Super Mario, which contains images of Leon in Pfoho garb in different places around the House.
