Description: The Harvard University Library provided comprehensive access to library holdings across the boundaries of individual faculties and disciplines. The University Library was also a department of the University's central administration through which the libraries collaborated in the areas of digital acquisitions and collections, information technology, high-density storage, and preservation. This is a single capture of the earliest Harvard University Library website. The page was captured in 2014 before the server on which it resided was decommissioned. Information Technology staff found the page, untouched since 1996, and brought it to the attention of the Archives.
