Description: The Harvard University Committee on Human Rights Studies began its work in 2000 and ended its work on June 30, 2010. Among its goals were the development of undergraduate courses and University-wide coordination and communication on human rights. The work of UCHRS is now institutionalized into the collaborative work of the three human rights centers at Harvard: the Harvard University François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Center for Health and Human Rights, the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Kennedy School of Government, and the Human Rights Program at the Harvard Law School. The website of the Harvard University Committee on Human Rights Studies provides information on the committee's work, subsequent human rights work at Harvard, human rights studies, a weekly digest of human rights events and opportunities, and the Harvard Scholars at Risk Fellowship program. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the records of the Harvard University Committee on Human Rights Studies.

Description: A member of an international network of participating universities, the Harvard Scholars at Risk Program has provided sanctuary to dozens of professors, lecturers, researchers, artists, writers, and other intellectuals who are at risk. The risk may be related to the scholar’s work, but it may also be a consequence of the scholar’s ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political opinions. The Scholars at Risk website provides information on Dr. Aida Nureddin, the Scholars at Risk fellowship, news, and how to get involved. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the records of the Harvard University Committee on Human Rights Studies. Harvard permalink: https://nrs.harvard.edu/urn-3:HUL.ARCH.WAX:35164421
