The Harvard University Archives is the oldest and one of the largest institutional academic archives in the nation.

The Harvard University Archives collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to a comprehensive record of more than 375 years of life at Harvard. From 17th and 18th century diaries and scientific observations to 21st century web sites, the Harvard University Archives’ collections comprise over 51,000 feet and 9 terabytes of University records and related historical materials.

This activity is tied integrally to records management services for Harvard University staff, administrators and faculty. Records management staff provide guidance and resources for all stages in the records and information lifecycle, from creating records through destruction of non-permanent records or transfer of permanent records to the Harvard University Archives.

Description: The Dean of Students Office oversees an integrated four year residential and campus life experience for Harvard College students, seeking to create a campus residential and social community that is welcoming, open and accessible to all students. The three key areas that comprise the Dean of Students Office are residential life and housing, student engagement, and diversity and inclusion. The Dean of Students Office website provides information on housing and residential life, student activities, student organizations, the Dudley Co-Op, the rising sophomore lottery, and policies. Prior to 1 July 2018, this was the site of the Office of Student Life. The Office of Student Life was comprised of Student Activities, Harvard College Women's Center, Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations, Phillips Brooks House Association, Public Service Network, Center for Public Interest Careers, Student Organization Center at Hilles, Cambridge Queen's Head Pub, and the residential system.
