Description: The Future of Energy initiative, under the umbrella of the Harvard University Center for the Environment, is founded on the premise that the complex challenges we face in the areas of energy and climate require coordinated and multidisciplinary responses. This initiative brings together faculty and students from around the University who are engaged in research on major energy-related problems—including global climate change, urban air pollution, technologies for pollution abatement and renewable energy, energy security, and economic growth in developing countries – and exposes them to the perspectives of other disciplines and collaborative opportunities. The Future of Energy initiative website provides information on the initiatives goals, events, faculty research areas, programs, the Graduate Consortium on Energy and Environment, and news. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the records of the Harvard University Center for the Environment.
