Description: The Interspecies Invitational Installation website describes an art installation featured at Harvard University’s 375th anniversary celebration, on Saturday April 28, 2012. The Harvard Spinnerets, led by visiting scholar Sarah Kariko ’90, created a web in Harvard Yard near Widener Library; participants were invited to “weave” their own “truth” on Veritas ribbons: together with repurposed materials collected across campus, these ribbons formed a “celebratory tapestry.” The website features photographs of the event and participants engaging with the installation, and highlights arachnological contributions by Harvard-Radcliffe researchers. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the record of the 375th anniversary celebration of Harvard University.
