Established in 1924 with an endowment from banking heiress and women’s rights advocate Annie Rensselaer Tinker, the Annie Tinker Association for Women provides financial assistance to elderly retired working women so they may remain independent in their homes and continue to be involved community members. Most of the beneficiaries live in the metropolitan New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut area; many work in the arts or related fields.
