International Association of Culinary Professionals

The International Association of Culinary Professionals was founded in 1978 as the Association of Cooking Schools to promote the interests of cooking teachers. In 1981 the name was changed to the International Association of Cooking Schools before the organization adopted its current name in 1990, following a merger with Food Marketing Communicators. By 2006, it had a worldwide membership of 4,000 and it focused on offering continuing education and other career development opportunities.
