Description: The Harvard Crimson Journalism Conference is a one-day event for high school journalists with all levels of experience. Participants attend seminars on different aspects of journalism led by the Crimson's editors and executives, panels on how to incorporate journalism experiences into college applications, as well as attend a keynote speech by an accomplished journalist followed by a Q&A session. Faculty advisors also have a chance to tour the building and participate in a roundtable discussion. The Conference is conducted in the Spring and Fall. The week-long Crimson Summer Journalism Academy provides an opportunity for students to work with Crimson staffers on various journalism-related skills, learn about the workings of a daily newspaper, and print a paper of their own at the end of the week. The Harvard Crimson Journalism Conferences website provides information on purpose and attendee eligibility requirements for the conference, seminars, discussion groups, conference leadership, dates, and costs.
