Description: Occupy Harvard is a student movement established in the fall of 2011 when Harvard students created an encampment by erecting thirty tents in Harvard Yard. The inception of Occupy Harvard was marked by a rally, General Assembly, and march that were attended by approximately 800 Harvard students, faculty, and staff on November 9. This Occupy Harvard website, the second of two primary websites for the movement, was created November 11, 2011. It became the primary web presence of the Occupy Harvard movement. Harvests were taken at varying intervals (monthly, weekly, or daily). These harvests are very rich in content, including news, recordings and photographs of events, policy statements, links to allied organizations, and instructions on how to become involved in the movement. In late 2012, the original site briefly ceased to exist and was re-introduced with new content. The first harvest with the new content is from February 2013. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the records of Occupy Harvard. HOLLIS catalog: http://id.lib.harvard.edu/alma/990132256380203941/catalog
